I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.

For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints...

I mean, certainly we're all grateful for the food we eat and other material items we may have, so what does gratitude have to do with what I teach my clients?

Everything...

You see, I've known for some years now that in order for me personally to live a peace and joy-filled life, I need to acknowledge a power greater than myself and give thanks daily for all my blessings. As most of you know, I, too, was once a 40 pound, overweight, miserable, unhappy lady who suffered from low self-esteem and had zero confidence. When I stumbled upon Self-Hypnosis and saw the difference it made in my life, including my shedding those unwanted pounds, keeping it off for 20 years AND regaining my sense of self-worth, I knew I had to ‘Pay it Forward' and share this amazing technique with others so that they could also learn to live a fulfilling and contented life.

Perhaps a loaf of bread, a dozen eggs, and a quart of milk, but that's pretty much it. So, what does the value of $10.00 have to do with anything, you ask?

As it turns out, plenty!

Awhile back a gentleman bought my Child's Health/Confidence CD®, one in my series of Positive Affirmation CDs I've made over the years. Rather than have me retell his story, I asked him if he'd kindly put down in words what happened once his young son started listening to the CD on a regular basis.

With love and thanks, here's the story of Dino as told by his Dad, Albert...

For those of you who’s number one goal was to lose weight, I can almost guarantee that by now you’ve had one or two ‘slips’ where you’ve either gone overboard and had a slight ‘binge’ of junk food or sweet treats, or have indulged in take-out or your favorite comfort food once too often in the past month.

Hey, it happens to everyone, so stop beating yourself up!

According to Wikipedia, one definition of willpower is “self-discipline, training and control of oneself and one’s conduct, usually for personal improvement.” You can possess all the willpower in the world and still have an occasional lapse in healthy eating habits. That’s why I love, love, LOVE how Accelerated Change Template (ACT) works. When you combine ACT with Self-Hypnosis, you get a powerful 2-step punch that helps you break your bad habits and limiting beliefs in MINUTES so you can achieve groundbreaking success in all areas of your life. And who couldn’t use a little help now and then to keep our willpower strong?

Sure, you might have lost a pound or two, but let’s be honest here. How many of you are still on track? Show of hands. I thought so.

No one starts off to change a bad habit with failure being the expected end result. However, our thoughts have become so conditioned over time that our sub-conscious mind will always win if there’s a battle between what we want to do versus what we’ve always done in the past.

Some of the biggest weight loss saboteur sayings come from the people we love the most. Although they mean well with their comments, the negative words they speak can trigger off the wrong response in our brain.

Here are a few examples...

So, you immediately eliminate every crumb of sugar from your daily food intake, buy a brand new pair of track shoes and hit the ground running… literally.

But wait a second. It’s now mid-January and you find yourself with a 15 oz. chocolate bar in your hand half eaten, and your wonderful running shoes still smell like they came off the shelf at your local fitness store. What happened to those steadfast resolutions you made on January 1st? Where did all that power of resolve disappear to?

Since being a Break Your Bad Habits/Beliefs NOW! and certified hypnotist showing all my many clients how to safely (and easily lose weight) is my expertise, I’d like to share with you one of my best ‘Reality Checks’ - namely looking at how sugar affects other areas of your body and not just your waist line.

I’d like to help you understand WHY you should consider reducing your daily intake of sugar in the first place.

A good place to start is to have you answer this question: Do you have any idea how much sugar you and your family consume, on average, daily or in a week?

Have you ever wondered if your current ‘waist management’ problems have anything to do with how you are handling the current stress in your life? Could your current stress level have something to do with reaching out for food for comfort which is called emotional eating?

Let me paint you a picture. When I first work with my private clients, I describe them as all wrapped up and twisted like a tight thick rubber band. They have all of this stress and tension inside their body and they don’t know what to do with it, and they so desperately want to feel better. Don’t you? Well, some people have learned to turn to food for comfort to make themselves feel better, some reach out for alcohol, some reach out for cigarettes, and some reach out for drugs...

Find someone who has already attained the same goal you want and then make an investment in yourself and be mentored by them. Why? Your mentor can help you to quit playing small and start thinking big. Mentors can help you change your mindset and change your life by rearranging what you believe is possible for you. Being mentored is a great return on your investment because this process can shorten your learning curve by light years as your mentor can teach you not to make the same mistakes they did. It worked for me and I know it can work for you.

Allow me to share my story.

Twenty years ago I left my corporate job of 17 years in the field of human resources and became an “accidental” entrepreneur. I opened a wellness practice because what I had been doing was not feeding my soul. It all started one morning at 3 a.m. when I thought I was dying of a heart attack only to discover that there was nothing wrong with my heart at all. My doctor suspected stress was causing my symptoms, and you know what he told me? Go learn to relax. He also told me that 80% to 90% of the reasons people visit doctors today was for health problems that were stress-induced or psychosomatic (what we are telling ourselves.) Since traditional medicine could not help me, I turned to alternative medicine, namely self-hypnosis...
