Hello Friend,
As the owner of Linda Allred, LLC, and former owner of Baton Rouge Hypnosis, Inc., I have used hypnosis with thousands of clients over the last 16 years. I hold certifications in hypnosis from St. Johns University and the National Guild of Hypnotists.
Id like to tell you a story about how I grew up to be a hypnotist. Never in my wildest dreams did I plan on changing careers.
I spent 17 years in the field of human resources. About 18 years ago, I was under a tremendous amount of stress and started to have chest pains. After seeing my doctor, I was told my heart was okay. He suspected my problem was stress induced, and told me to go learn how to relax.
I remember leaving the doctors office angry because I was told that I would have to learn to live with the pain or learn to relax. I expected my doctor to give me a pill or cut the pain out.
To make a long story short, after a year of suffering, someone recommended that I try hypnosis. I laughed because all I knew about hypnosis was that it made people quack like ducks. However, I was desperate.
Sitting in the hypnotists
chair, I recalled thinking I wasnt hypnotized because I could hear every
word my hypnotist said. Much to my amazement, in a short period of time, my
chest pains went away. I also experienced success with hypnosis in the following
areas:
I became fascinated with the mind/body connection and enrolled in a hypnosis certification program. I had only planned to take the first course but soon found myself wanting to learn more.
How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis teaches you how to become self-reliant and stay motivated. You feel in control. Hypnotic suggestions allow you to learn, grow and be more
Hypnosis is the quickest and easiest way that I know of to change behavior or break bad habits, i.e., overeating, stress or smoking. Learning hypnosis is a skill that will benefit you for a lifetime. I tell everyone I meet that learning how to use your mind in a positive way is the greatest gift that you can give yourself.
So, that is my story of how I grew up to be a hypnotist.
Hypnosis is not magic! It is a proven and accepted method of bringing positive changes into your life. Hypnosis was approved by the American Medical Association in 1958.
Sincerely,
Linda Allred, CHt.
